Tall Sundew
Behavioural adaptations
- The Sundew follows the movement of the sun across the sky; this tropism is called heliotropism.
- Sundews are carnivorous plants which means they consume mostly insects.
- These plants have adapted to poor nutrient conditions, this makes this plant to be very competitive and persistent in acid wetland.

Physiological adaptations
- When an insect lands on the "tentacles", they curve inward slowly and catches the insect; the fluid on the tip helps retain the insect. After the insect has been caught, a digestive fluid dissolves the insect.
Structural adaptations

-The sun dew contains small shield-shaped leaves which are covered with hairs (called tentacles)
- At the end of the tentacles, a blob of sticky fluid is found at the tip.
